Created for DKNG Studios’ Skillshare class, Digital Green Thumb reimagines three plants—Philodendron Gloriosum, Alocasia Frydek, and Anthurium Clarinervium—as bold, minimal icons. The challenge: distill each leaf’s character into just a few clean shapes.
I began with quick pencil sketches—just enough to capture the flow of each leaf before translating it into digital form.
Next, I refined the colors and shapes, creating a simple set of rules to tie all three plant icons together.
Here’s the final set of vector icons—each one simplified, balanced, and designed to highlight the unique patterns of these three plants.
This project was a small reminder that creativity can grow anywhere—even on screen. If you’re dreaming up something new, I’d love to help it take root.
